Free with Ads, Plus, VIP or Rent: how to choose how you watch on WowStoryTV

Help · October 27, 2026 · 2 min read · By WowStoryTV Editorial

WowStoryTV gives you four ways to watch: a free plan with ads, two subscriptions (Plus and VIP), and rentals of individual titles. This guide explains what each includes so you can pick the one that suits you. Current prices are always shown in the app before you pay, and all prices are in Canadian dollars.

Free with Ads

Create a free account and you can stream a growing library of films, series and documentaries at no cost. Ads play with these titles, which is how they stay free. It's the best place to start: you can explore the catalogue, build your list and see whether WowStoryTV's stories are for you before you spend anything.

Good for: trying WowStoryTV, occasional viewing, and anyone who doesn't mind ads.

Plus

Plus is a paid subscription with a reduced ad load, expanded streaming access and access to pay-per-view titles.

Good for: regular viewers who want more titles and fewer interruptions.

VIP

VIP is the top plan: ad-free viewing, VIP-exclusive titles, early access to new releases and offline downloads.

Good for: people who watch a lot, want new releases first and never want to see an ad.

Rent

Don't want a subscription? Rent a single title instead. A rental lets you watch that title for a limited time, normally 48 hours from purchase. The rental period for each title is shown before you pay.

Good for: a one-off film night, or a title you don't want to wait for.

Which should I choose?

  • New to WowStoryTV? Start with Free with Ads and upgrade later if you find yourself watching often.
  • Ads bother you but you don't watch every day? Compare Plus with renting the occasional title.
  • Want everything, ad-free, with the newest releases first? Choose VIP.
  • One specific film you want to see tonight? Rent it.
